This chocolate chip banana bread is so moist and so full of chocolatey hunks you’d never realise it was completely vegan. It takes no time to whip up and is perfect to wow your friends this Veganuary.

You’ve all heard me wax lyrical about my love for banana bread many, many times before. It’s probably the recipe that features most on this blog (and I’m not even close to finished sharing all the different versions I love) and it’s absolutely the thing I make most frequently in the house. I’ll not bore you with yet another outpouring of adoration for this humble cake but instead wow you with the fact that this chocolate chip banana bread is actually completely vegan. Perfect if you’re one of the hundreds of thousands of people partaking in Veganuary this year.

Everything about this cake speaks to me on a primal level, it’s so deliciously moist and those chunks of chocolate scattered throughout are just the knees of the bee! I would jump in front of a car to save this cake from being squished. No joke, that’s how good it is!
There’s a slight nutty taste from the coconut oil which I’ll have to admit, I was a bit worried that it would overpower the taste of the bananas, but instead they just compliment each other perfectly. I’ve already eaten two slices today and I’m seriously contemplating a third. If I hadn’t just bought a skirt I need to slim into I’d be diving straight in.
Or maybe just one more slice, can’t hurt can it? Diet starts Monday….
